The city is bearing the legal burden to meet the growing needs of new arrivals, under a court-ordered right to shelter mandate that requires that New York City provide a bed and basic social services to people who seek them. But the influx of migrants has increasingly implicated state and federal leaders. New York voters disapprove of how Mayor Eric Adams, New York Governor Kathy Hochul and President Joe Biden are handling the crisis, according to a new Siena College poll.
