Donald Trump showed no expression as he walked up the stairs to his Boeing 757 in New Jersey Thursday for a short flight to Washington, where he appeared in court on federal charges that he tried to steal the 2020 election.

Media coverage was intense as it’s the first time a former president has been charged with crimes allegedly committed while in office. Cable news outlets were broadcasting live as Trump Force One touched down at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, just over an hour before the start of the 4 p.m. arraignment.
