Iran Declares Public Holiday Over ‘Unprecedented’ Heat Wave Risk

Iran declared a nationwide two-day public holiday due to health risks from an “unprecedented” heat wave.

Public and private-sector offices as well as banks and the stock exchange will be shut on August 2-3, Government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said on state TV.
