Universal Orlando Adds Shrek, Trolls to Reach Younger Kids
Comcast’s theme park unit is increasing its offerings for little kids
Comcast Corp. unveiled plans for a new DreamWorks-themed area at its Universal Studios park in Orlando, Florida.
The land, scheduled to open next year, will feature play areas and attractions tied to the Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda films, which came with the company’s $3.8 billion acquisition of DreamWorks Animation in 2016. The area will also include characters from Gabby’s Dollhouse, a preschool series from DreamWorks that runs on Netflix.
