Democrats will unleash an abortion-rights messaging blitz on the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, seizing on an issue that remains a vulnerability for Republicans heading into the 2024 election.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will both speak at an event Friday with abortion rights groups, an appearance a campaign official said is intended to present a united front on the issue. Harris will travel to North Carolina on Saturday to deliver remarks on the topic, reprising the role she has played previously as a lead messenger on reproductive rights and women’s health.
