John Aylward’s credit hedge fund Sona has hired Barclays PLC’s co-head of global leveraged finance syndicate Stephen Smith, in one of the most high-profile moves in leveraged finance this year.
Smith is set to join Sona in London in the newly created role as head of capital markets and is expected to start around September, according to a spokesperson for the firm.
