US inflation looks set to fall significantly in the months ahead as the rise in rents and goods prices slows, with the economy on course for a soft landing, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chief Economist Jan Hatzius said on Wednesday.
“The inflation news is getting better and it’s likely to get quite a lot better in the second half of the year,” he said in a panel discussion hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations.
