Renewables to Top Africa Climate Deals on Blackouts: Survey

Climate finance investors in Africa expect renewables to dominate deals over the next three years as the quest for clean energy to end blackouts boosts its appeal to funders.
In a survey of private sector climate investors on the continent, 71% identified renewable energy as the most attractive sector through 2026, while agriculture and transport took the second and third positions, according to London-based African Private Capital Association, or AVCA.
