Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas called for a full ban on the transit of European Union goods through Russia amid concerns that a spike in trade with third countries is facilitating sanctions evasion.
Exports from the Baltic nation of 1.3 million to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan have surged since last year, Kallas told reporters Tallinn on Thursday. However, she said she doubted whether many of the goods reached these destinations after transiting through Russia.
