ECB Isn’t Done Hiking Rates If Baseline Holds, De Cos Says

The European Central Bank will have to continue increasing borrowing costs if its most recent inflation projections materialize, according to Governing Council member Pablo Hernandez de Cos.
“If the baseline scenario in the March projections are confirmed we still have ground to cover to make sure that inflation pressures are stamped out,” the Spanish central bank chief said in an event organized by the Brookings Institution in Washington DC.
