Norway to Buy 6 Seahawk Helicopters to Boost Naval Defense

Norway’s government decided to buy 6 maritime helicopters produced by Lockheed Martin Corp. to strengthen the Nordic country’s border defenses and its presence in the High North.

The purchase of the MH-60R Seahawk helicopters is expected to cost a total of 12 billion kroner ($1.1 billion), with delivery from 2025 to 2027, Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said in a statement on Tuesday.
