Top US lawmakers announced they struck a deal on “framework” to fund the government this fiscal year, putting Congress on track to complete a roughly $1.7 trillion package before the end of December and avert a shutdown.
House and Senate appropriators didn’t provide any details of the deal, but said it would allow them to pass a full-year spending package by Dec. 23.
