Thiel-backed Startup Looks to Vietnam to Solve Sleepless Nights

Peter Thiel-backed startup Earable Neuroscience aims to ship its first batch of sleep aid devices to the US from Vietnam in February, ahead of a planned funding round of as much as $40 million, according to founder and Chief Executive Officer Tam Vu.
The startup is eyeing a Series A funding round by July as it raises a bridge round of $5 million this year, Tam said in an interview in Hanoi. It previously raised $9.6 million. Its current backers include Thiel’s Founders Fund, Smilegate Investment and 500 Startups, now called 500 Global.
