As the FTX collapse reverberates around the crypto ecosystem, it’s worth revisiting how quickly things can change in the space, and a glance at the top 15 cryptocurrencies by total market value shows just how ephemeral ‘success’ in the industry can be.
While Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether have managed to hold onto the top three spots on a relatively consistent basis in recent years, many tokens that were in the top 10 have since fallen completely out of favor. That’s according to the table below from Brent Donnelly at Spectra FX Solutions LLC.
