Vietnam Warns Property Firms May Struggle to Cover Bonds

Some Vietnamese real estate businesses with “unhealthy financial positions” and high levels of debt are likely to face difficulties covering their bond payments, the National Assembly’s Economic Committee said in a statement.
Property companies that used bond proceeds for “wrong purposes” and “in a nontransparent manner” are causing a loss of trust among investors, the parliament’s economic committee said in the statement.
