The House committee investigating last year’s attack on the US Capitol announced it will convene a rescheduled hearing Oct. 13, resuming the public portion of its inquiry into how the insurrection happened.

The committee had planned a hearing for last week but it was postponed as Hurricane Ian made its way toward Florida. The 1 p.m. hearing is the panel’s first public session since the July 21 conclusion of a series of eight hearings into the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
