In NYC, Hermes Opens Biggest Store With an Original Live Musical
It was a public display of opulence not recently seen in New York.

They meet again on the store’s opening date, a year and two months after they broke up. Clearly, the sparks are still there.
On Thursday evening, Hermès opened its biggest store ever, at 706 Madison Ave., taking over multiple streets with a musical named Love Around the Block that it commissioned to celebrate the event. Taking place at four locations, including the new store, at Hermès’ prior locations on the other end of the block, and the streets in between, the multimillion-dollar event offered a festival of music, dancing, cocktails, finger food, and over-the-top decadence, with guests showing off their own Hermès scarf-and-handbag collections.
