Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee announced an end to hotel quarantine and pre-flight Covid PCR tests for travelers from Sept. 26, the most significant step toward reopening since the pandemic began.
But a word to aspiring visitors: beware. The Asian financial hub remains very different from other cities, most of which have scrapped nearly all Covid restrictions and are living with the virus. That includes regional rival Singapore.
