A $6.6 billion US natural gas pipeline project that’s been repeatedly stalled over environmental approvals may get fast-track approval under a side-deal reached between Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Joe Manchin.

The agreement would see Congress move forward on separate permitting reform legislation with the blessing of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the White House.
