Women on S&P 500 Bank Boards Post Record Stretch With No Gains

The number of women directors at members of the Standard & Poor’s 500 Banks Index was unchanged in June for the fourth straight month, the longest dry spell since Bloomberg started the monthly tracker in January 2019.
Progress often slows as companies wrap up their annual meetings and there is less activity overall. At the same time, there is growing concern that companies are feeling less pressure to increase female membership now that the average exceeds 33% at most banks.
