Hitachi Energy Takes Equity Stake in Sweden’s H2 Green Steel

Zurich-based Hitachi Energy Ltd. is making an equity investment in Swedish fossil fuel-free steelmaker H2 Green Steel, according to an emailed statement.
The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding that includes a “significant investment from Hitachi Energy’s side,” said Johan Soderstrom, head of EMEA operations at Hitachi Energy, in an interview. He didn’t disclose the price of the stake.
