In a burst of black humor, Twitter users found levity in June’s surprisingly high 9.1% inflation rate by riffing off the “she/he’s a 10” TikTok meme.

The trend, also known as the “rating game,” first took off on TikTok then made its way to Twitter in June, according to the internet culture database Know Your Meme. Users share variations of the phrase “she/he’s a 10” followed by a negative trait that might detract from this fictitious person’s “score.” When the Labor Department released fresh consumer price index data on Wednesday, observers took to the internet using the latest figure followed by their takes on the state of the US economy.
