Carlyle Group Inc. and Permira have emerged as bidders for Reorg Research Inc., the bankruptcy and distressed-debt information provider backed by Warburg Pincus, according to people familiar with the matter.
Potential buyers are discussing paying more than $1 billion for the company, said the people, who asked to not be identified because the matter isn’t public. Other private equity firms are also circling Reorg, the people said. The company has been working with advisers to field interest, the people added.
