The Texas Supreme Court granted part of the state’s request to vacate a temporary restraining order that prevents the criminal prosecution of abortion providers in the weeks before the procedure is fully banned.
The order, released late Friday, said the temporary measure is stayed “pending further order” by the court. It leaves criminal enforcement of the ban on hold with a district court hearing scheduled for July 12, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.
