Japan said it will lift a power-crunch advisory placed on the Tokyo area Thursday evening, as electricity supply conditions are seen improving.
The advisory will be lifted at 6 p.m. local time, as the nation’s capital should have enough power supply, the trade ministry said in a statement. Tokyo had been under the advisory since Monday, as unusually hot temperatures for the end of June increased demand for cooling and put pressure on the already stretched grid.
