Greece appears to have found the country’s first monkeypox case, the National Public Health Organization said.

Initial tests indicate that a man who recently traveled to Portugal is positive for the virus, the authorities said, adding that further testing is needed. The patient is hospitalized and his condition is stable, the organization said late Wednesday.
