In the wake of the Uvalde massacre, the Texas town and its residents have received an outpouring of financial support from around the world amounting to $11 million through GoFundMe alone.

Since a gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary on May 24, killing 19 students and two teachers, donations have flooded in to the tight-knit community from more than 194,000 donors in all 50 states and 104 countries around the globe. Meanwhile, the mass shooting has reignited a national debate over gun control and resurfaced criticism from the international community on America’s inaction on federal restrictions.
