State Farm has opted to drop its support for philanthropic program GenderCool after the insurance firm found itself as “the subject of news and customer inquires” about its relationship with the program and its joint effort to promote inclusivity and education on gender identity.

Shortly after the partnership was made public on Twitter, State Farm abruptly reversed course in a statement to Bloomberg, saying that the company supports “organizations that provide resources for parents to have conversations about gender and identity with their children at home. We don’t support required curriculum in schools on this topic.”
