Boris Johnson urged his ministers to go further to help struggling Britons as his government comes under increasing pressure to tackle soaring living costs.
The U.K. prime minister on Tuesday led a “productive” discussion with his cabinet about finding new ways to tackle Britain’s cost-of-living crisis, Johnson’s official spokesman, Max Blain, told reporters. A number of ideas were proposed but there will be no new money above government departments’ existing spending budgets, he said.
