Brazil presidential front-runner Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva risks squandering support ahead of the October election by angering social conservatives, a growing constituency in the country, according to local pollster Quaest.
Felipe Nunes, head of the Belo Horizonte-based polling firm, said Lula may lose votes from religious sectors and working professionals following his public comments backing abortion and criticizing the lifestyle of middle-income Brazilians.
