Swedish Support for NATO Is Now Higher Than Ever, Poll Shows

More Swedes than ever want the nation to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, with support for the defense bloc surging after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In a poll commissioned by daily tabloid Aftonbladet, as many as 57% of the respondents support a membership, up from 51% over the past month. Of the people asked, 21% said they are against Sweden joining the alliance while 22% were unsure.
