Chinese stocks bounced back in afternoon trading as foreign investors accelerated purchases and speculation mounted that policy makers will take measures aimed at reviving economic growth.
The CSI 300 Index erased early losses to end 2% higher -- its biggest gain this month -- boosted by financial and tourism stocks. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index also rebounded to finish with a 0.5% gain.
