The U.K. government is debating delaying for a fourth time planned checks on imports from the European Union as it seeks to avoid adding fresh costs to businesses and consumers amid a spiraling cost-of-living crisis.
Brexit Opportunities Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg is among those urging Prime Minister Boris Johnson to further delay a grace period on imports that’s due to end in July, according to a person familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity discussing private deliberations.
