Icahn Preps Proxy Fight at McDonald’s Over Treatment of Pigs

Activist investor Carl Icahn said he’s prepared to nominate directors at McDonald’s Corp. if the fast-food chain continues to use suppliers that house pregnant pigs in small crates, a practice he argues is inhumane.
“We’re going to fight it as much as we can,” Icahn said in an interview with Bloomberg TV’s Erik Schatzker. “We are probably 90% there from putting up a slate. You know, we’re not going to fool around with them anymore.”
