Orpea SA’s former chief executive officer faces an insider-trading investigation into transactions carried out before the publication of a book that contained allegations that the nursing-home operator mistreated elderly people in its care, sending the shares into a tailspin.
Financial prosecutors have opened a preliminary probe into trades made by Yves Le Masne, an official at the Parquet National Financier said in an email, confirming an earlier report by magazine Marianne.
