A Nigerian police officer indicted by the U.S. has been arrested after being declared wanted by the West African country’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for his alleged involvement in a cocaine deal.
Kyari, a deputy commissioner in the Nigerian Police Force, is wanted for attempting to share out proceeds from selling most of 25 kilograms of confiscated cocaine, the NDLEA said in a statement Monday.
