Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi plans to visit Qatar on Monday, people familiar with the matter said, his first foreign trip to a Gulf Arab neighbor since he took power in August.

State-run Islamic Republic News Agency had originally reported that Raisi would visit on Thursday. But people familiar with his itinerary said he would go Monday to attend the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in the Qatari capital, Doha.
