Police have started moving in to clear out protesters who’ve been blocking the Ambassador Bridge, a major economic artery that connects Canada with Detroit.

That came the day after the premier of Canada’s biggest province declared a state of emergency, warning protesters who were blocking the border crossing and others causing gridlock in Canada’s capital that they face severe consequences if they don’t leave.
