Edward Yardeni, a former Federal Reserve economist and a closely followed investment strategist, sounds like a Nike ad when exhorting the central bank to combat inflation with a rate increase.
“Just do it,” the founder of Yardeni Research said about the Fed on Bloomberg Television’s Surveillance on Thursday. “Just get on with it, let’s do 50, the market’s already discounted it,” he said, referring to a half-point hike.
