U.S. Cities With High Inflation: Tampa at 9.6%, Denver Nears 8%

Cities in the U.S. sunbelt once again saw some the highest inflation rates in the country last month, with Tampa, Florida, now running at 9.6%.

But the January consumer price data from the Labor Department also show that above-average inflation has become entrenched in regions such as the mountain states that were known for relatively lower costs of living before the pandemic.
