Finland’s government decided to end Covid-19 testing and contact tracing for the majority of the population, leaving it up to people to test at home and isolate on their own when they have contracted the virus.

The aim of testing and contact tracing will be to prevent the spread of infections particularly among groups of people who have a high risk of developing a more serious form of the disease, according to a statement on Thursday.
