Just four days in office, Peru’s Prime Minister Hector Valer offered his resignation after his appointment drew attacks from both allies and opponents of the government.
Valer told reporters in Lima on Saturday that he’d sent a letter to President Pedro Castillo offering to stand down, citing reports in local newspapers of allegations by former neighbors that he committed domestic abuse against his wife and daughter.
