Uber-Lyft Driver Pay Suit Remains ‘Huge,’ California’s AG Says

California’s lawsuit against Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. for misclassifying drivers as contractors remains “huge” even after voters approved a company-bankrolled referendum about who’s an employee, the state’s attorney general Rob Bonta said.

“A great outcome there will be for Uber and Lyft to be held accountable for what they did,” Bonta said in an interview Thursday. “There’s literally billions of dollars at stake there.”
