Mediterranean Shipping Co. said it’s seeking a controlling stake in new Italian flag carrier ITA Airways through a deal that would also include Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
The transaction would have a value of between 1.2 billion euros ($1.4 billion) and 1.5 billion euros, according to people familiar with matter who asked not to be identified disclosing private information.
