Republican David McCormick plans to fund his Senate campaign in Pennsylvania largely from his own pocket, according to a person familiar with the matter, though the former Bridgewater Associates CEO also has a large roster of potential donors.
McCormick can dip into his own coffers, since candidates can spend as much of their money as they want to bankroll their campaigns. But his history as a donor shows the first-time candidate might have some big contributors to tap as well.
