Japan’s largest airline operators halted new inbound bookings for this month, following a government request in its strictest border controls seen since the pandemic began.
Japan Airlines Co. and ANA Holdings Inc.’s suspension applies to all inbound flights, meaning overseas Japanese nationals as well as foreigners who currently don’t hold bookings will be barred from entering the country.
