A German-Turkish joint venture retained the contract to run Turkey’s second-busiest airport, fending off a rival group with a 7.25 billion euro ($8.2 billion) offer for rental fees over 25 years.

The joint venture by Germany’s Fraport AG and Turkey’s TAV Havalimanlari Holding AS will start the new contract for Antalya airport on the Turkish Riviera in January 2027. A rival group that included Russian and Turkish partners was seeking to dislodge the current concessionaires.
