Manhattan Rents Rise for the First Time Since Covid’s Early Days

Manhattan apartment rents climbed for the first time since the early days of the pandemic.
The median rent rose 5.9% in September from a year earlier to $3,216, appraiser Miller Samuel Inc. and brokerage Douglas Elliman Real Estate said in a report Thursday. It was the first increase since May 2020 and the biggest since December 2019.
