Malaysia’s parliament sat for the first timeBloomberg Terminal this year on Monday, providing lawmakers an opportunity to grill Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin over his government’s handling of the pandemic and the economy.

Muhyiddin in his first address to the house since last year explained the government’s recovery plan for the economy, including his forecast for most states to enter the final phase of the plan in October. Those states could reopen their economy and social sectors “under new norms,” he said Monday morning.
