Thiel-Backed Valar Leads Funding for Singapore Wealth Startup

Peter Thiel-backed Valar Ventures led a S$40 million ($29.5 million) financing round for a Singapore-based digital wealth management startup that plans to launch additional investment products.
Existing backers Presight Capital and Unbound also joined Syfe Pte’s Series B funding round, which brings the total capital raised to S$70.7 million since 2019, and more than triples its valuation, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. It didn’t specify its current market value.
